Graduates will have the ability to collect data and information from the outside world, including statistics, and to interpret them in order to form autonomous judgments and devise possible solutions to the problems of the world of tourism they will encounter. They will learn to behave in this way primarily from lectures and didactic seminars. They will also be able to develop their own reflections on the social context in which the tourism markets operate and the ethical and behavioral connotations that characterize them. In addition to lectures, always open to discussion and interaction with students, seminars, workshops that see the participation of managers and relevant exponents of the world of local, national and even international tourism, the preparation of the final dissertation represents a it is an important opportunity to exercise one's autonomy of judgment and to present a specific issue in an original, organic and structured way.
Graduates will be able to communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions to specialist and non-specialist interlocutors in the tourism sector. They will be able to relate on an interpersonal level with both Italian and foreign subjects and institutions, demonstrating exclusive abilities in enhancing the inevitable differences in terms of thought and ways of doing, making this aspect valid in a positive rather than negative sense.
They will have learned to behave in this way through the assiduous attendance of lectures, exercises, didactic seminars, conferences and workshops. These skills will be tested in the exams and final graduation exams.
With the knowledge, the ability to analyze and study the problems inherent in the world of tourism, acquired during the university years through the assiduous attendance of lectures, exercises, didactic seminars, conferences and workshops and verified through the exams and the test final degree, graduates who will enter directly into the world of work will be able to update their skills and knowledge independently, which will allow them to carry out their professionalism and competence with continuity in constantly evolving and changing work contexts. The knowledge and skills gained during the university years will allow graduates who intend to continue their studies to enroll and profitably attend specialist degree courses in areas similar to those of the three-year course of study already completed.
The final exam consists in the presentation of a short written dissertation to a special degree committee on a subject concerning a teaching of the degree course under the supervision of a lecturer. The dissertation can also be prepared in English; in this case at least a summary of the same is required in Italian.
