The graduate in History and Histories of the Contemporary World is able to make independent use of both the methods of investigation of historical and philosophical reflection and the methodological rigour of the scientific approach, ready however for analysis and internal criticism as well as openness and contamination.
The graduate is thus able to operate autonomously, not only by starting from the knowledge of the contents of the individual disciplines, but above all by selecting and evaluating contemporary problems, issues and phenomena, to be understood and analysed in the light of all related aspects identified in the past and present.
The autonomy of judgement is achieved through individual study, attendance of lectures (also with the aid of e-learning teaching tools), participation in professional workshops and seminar meetings, as well as in internship activities: it is therefore verified in the examinations of the profit examinations foreseen by the individual courses, in the assessments foreseen by the workshops, in the final reports on the internship activities and in the final examination.
Graduates have the opportunity to enrich their communicative skills not only through the learning of certain languages (in-depth study of French, especially in relation to knowledge in the historical-philosophical field; professionalising workshops in English), but also because they are able to translate knowledge through new forms of expression. In addition, communication skills are exercised through opportunities for discussion and direct interaction with lecturers, through seminar and laboratory activities, in internship experiences and through direct contact with professionals who introduce graduates to the specific forms of interaction and negotiation of the various areas of relevance.
Communication skills are achieved through individual study, attendance of lectures (also with the aid of e-learning teaching tools), participation in professionalising workshops and seminar meetings, as well as in internship activities: they are therefore verified in the examinations of the profit examinations envisaged by the individual courses, in the assessments envisaged by the workshops, in the final reports on internship activities and in the final examination.
The course of study enables students to gradually adopt an integrated historical, philosophical and narrative approach to contemporaneity, capable of tackling humanistic, scientific and technological topics with adequate critical capacity. In this way it will be possible to conduct an in-depth historical study in a dynamic, comparative and interdisciplinary form, as a tool for understanding the changes taking place in the contemporary world. Furthermore, the student will be able to make use of the tools of critical analysis of philosophical reflection (also as an alternative to sociological and psychological models) in order to understand and motivate the historical dynamics of contemporary society.
Learning skills are achieved through individual study, attendance of lectures (also with the aid of e-learning teaching tools), participation in professional workshops and seminar meetings, as well as in internship activities: they are therefore verified in the examinations of the profit examinations foreseen by the individual courses, in the assessments foreseen by the workshops, in the final reports on the internship activities and in the final examination.
a) un saggio breve di ricerca con alcuni contenuti originali;
b) una rassegna critica della letteratura storico-filosofica-scientifica relativa ad un argomento specifico;
