Andrea Cattaneo is Associate Professor and Director of the School of Specialization in Occupational Medicine at the University of Insubria (Varese and Como, Italy) and holder of teaching in the field of Environmental and Occupational Hygiene at the 3-year bachelor degree course in Environmental and Natural Sciences, at the 2-year master's degree in Environmental Sciences and Prevention and Safety Engineering in the Process Industry (Politecnico di Milano), at the PhD course in Chemical and Environmental Sciences and Post-graduate Schools in Chemical Risk Assessment and Management and Occupatioanl Medicine. He participated in projects funded or co-funded at regional, national (MIUR), European (FP7-Horizon) and international lavel (IARC) and supervised more than 50 degree, doctorate and master theses. He was unit coordinator in multicentric national studies. He is scientific reviewer for about 40 national and international journals and author of about 200 scientific publications, of which about 90 in journals (H-index = 26). His main research interests concern the assessment of exposure to chemical agents (aerosols, ultrafine particles and engineered nanoparticles, asbestiform particles, gaseous pollutants, volatile organic compounds, metals), indoor air quality, human exposure modeling, health impact assessment, occupational and environmental risk management.
