In particular, with reference to the Dublin Descriptors, the objectives are specified as follows: Knowledge and understanding (acquisition and mastery of general and specific knowledge in the field of language sciences); Applying knowledge and understanding (ability to use knowledge and skills to analyze linguistic data and solve problems of a professional nature); Making judgments (ability to gather and interpret data relevant to formulating independent critical judgments, including broader reflections on social, scientific or ethical issues); Communication skills (ability to use the specialized language of language sciences to communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions to both specialist and non-specialist audiences); Learning skills (development of the abilities necessary to continue learning independently or in a structured manner, through familiarity with a core body of authoritative sources).
