Oral Exam.
Students will be assessed 30% on the presentation work assigned in class, 20% on participation during lessons and 50% on the questions of the final exam.

The course aims to provide students with the tools for understanding the European Union law applicable to business with regard to digitization in particular, analyzing:
1- the relevant EU institutions competent and
2- relevant European policies having particular regards to the digitalization process and the strengthen of the common market.

At the end of the course the student will be able to analyze and describe:
1- The main EU institutions: Commission, Council of the EU, Council of Europe, Parliament ( EU law, by G. Strozzi, institutional part)
2- Free movement of goods and services
3- Competition law and state aid ( EU law, edited by G. Strozzi, special part)
4- Right to confidentiality (GDPR regulation and study of the European parliament)
5- Right to health (European parliament study)
6- Artificial intelligence (analysis of the draft European regulation)
7- European funding (Commission regional policy)
8- European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA agency website)

The course is divided into lectures, seminars and case study discussion in class.
Analysis of case law and analysis of the legislative text will also be carried out.
Finally, students will be guided in the analysis of the legislative procedure for adopting the European regulation on AI.
