The workshop aims to provide basic skills in reference to the different types of extended reality (AR, MR, VR) and practices of use in the context of heritage and land valorisation.
The second objective of the workshop is to understand all phases of content development in augmented reality and to acquire expertise on the different possibilities with regard to specific communication needs.

The workshop intends to provide an overview of the possible applications of new
media to city tourism and devote an in-depth study to the use of augmented reality in the development of new narratives of the territory, construction of cultural heritage and urban regeneration.

- New media and apps for tourism, an overview
- Extended reality - Augmented reality, mixed reality, virtual reality
- Augmented reality and tourist itineraries (urban regeneration, cultural heritage, routes in augmented reality)
- A professional insight in Ar projects
–Possible visit of the augmented reality itineraries in Turin with the curator of the projects
- Project work: Division into working groups, research of materials, design of the itinerary and identification of possible insights, production and implementation

frontal lessons with ppts, images and videos 2. reading,
presentation and classroom discussion of some reference texts (flip
classroom) 3. analysis of some case studies 4. possible lectures by
external lecturers 5. group project work for which a presentation and final
assessment is foreseen.
