PHARMACOLOGY - VA
The CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY course is structured into 16 lessons for a total of 30 hours regarding the mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic indications, adverse effects and interactions of the following classes of drugs:
-Anti-inflammatory drugs (4 hours);
-Drugs active at the central nervous system level (opioid analgesics, local and general anaesthetics, sedative-hypnotics) (8 hours);
-Pharmacology of the autonomic nervous system (8 hours);
-Drugs that act on the blood (2 hour);
-Antibiotic and antiviral chemotherapy (4 hours);
-Drugs active on the gastrointestinal system (2 hours)
Frontal lessons.
Classroom activities include the projection of ppt files set with images and diagrams. During the lesson, clinical and current cases will be presented regarding the various topics covered and students will be invited to interact with questions and curiosities.
