ETHICS
The course does not require any particular prerequisites related to the contents, but it requires an interest and intellectual curiosity for the presented topics presented.
The integrated course provides only the final assessment by an oral exam, involving both disciplines. Students will be asked some questions about the texts and materials in the program and about the thematic aspects treated in them.
The evaluation of the exam will take place in thirtieths and the following evaluation criteria will be specifically taken into account:
- Thorough and detailed knowledge of the theoretical content
- Ability to present and synthesize the topics with appropriate language
- Argumentative and critical capacity in the re-elaboration and personal reflection, also through the discussion of paradigmatic cases
The course of the history of religions aims to introduce the critical understanding of the religious phenomenon; the evaluation of the knowledge related to the religions in relation to the contemporary postmodern condition and to globalization (educational, working and social contexts).
The course of Moral Philosophy/Ethics has two main objectives: in the first part, the course will focus on the basic issues related to the terms of ethics (good, evil, happiness, virtue, vice, life, death), on the concept of 'person' and 'acknowledgment' and on the relationship between technology and human action; in the second part, the course will present reflections on specific areas of bioethics (beginning of life, end of life, restraint, advance treatment dispositions) linking the principles to moral theories and the role of health care professionals.
The course includes the use of lectures and dialogues in mixed mode (in the classroom and through Microsoft Teams platform) carried out with the help of tools prepared by the teacher (Power Point and audiovisual materials appropriately selected) to stimulate discussion and involvement
by students on the topics covered.
