Making Judgements: 

At the end of the course graduates in Professional education will have acquired the skills and expertise to collect, analyze and process information and to provide interpretations to the education and training demand of individuals and groups emerging from the territory, which end into the formation of independent judgments and into the elaboration of pertinent solutions.

The expected results will be achieved through lectures, seminars, meetings with experts and special laboratories where students can ponder and discuss, together with the teachers, on the purposes of their work.

The results will be assessed through ongoing written and oral reports and through written and oral exams on each course subject.

Communication skills: 

At the end of the course graduates in Professional education will have acquired theoretical skills in the communication of ideas/solutions and in the management of information/projects, demonstrating the ability to speak with specialists and non-specialists. They will possess enough skills to create meaningful relationships with the patients, families and contexts. They will use at least a foreign language, useful to a multicultural approach intended to the integration of patients in the community. They will reach a good level in the use of IT tools as to the educational and formative computer use and to the media mainly used by young people.

The expected results will be achieved through lectures, seminars, meetings with experts and with pertinent laboratories based on simulations and role play. Particular attention will be paid to the discussion of specific contents, communication techniques, as well as activities inside the computer lab.

The results will be assessed through ongoing written and oral reports and through written and oral exams on each course subject.

Learning skills: 

At the end of the course graduates in Professional education will have developed the ability to acquire in-depth knowledge and think critically so as to be able to continue autonomously their studies in education and health Sciences.

To improve these skills also during their training period, students must:

- Develop skills in fostering doubts and tolerating uncertainty;

- Develop the ability of asking questions related to their professional activities, thus formulating pertinent questions as to perfect timing, place and contacts;

- Demonstrate the ability to continuously seek for self-learning opportunities;

- Be responsible for their own professional development towards the continuing knowledge evolution in the education and rehabilitation areas;

- Demonstrate autonomous studying abilities and use effective and pertinent research methods of the evidences;

The expected results will be achieved through lectures, problem-based learning, of self-learning plans used to empower students in planning their training and their self-assessment, laboratories in research methodology of online and printed literature.

The results will be assessed through ongoing written and oral reports and through written and oral exams on each course subject.

Students graduate in Professional education after passing a final exam which takes place in two sessions: October-November and March-April . The final exam consists of a written paper a test to evaluate the technical and practical skills acquired. The written paper will be previously evaluated by an appointed internal commission that, before the expiry of the final exam admission application date, will examine the judge the papers as suitable or unsuitable. The internal commission itself will then propose to the final exam commission a final mark.

The candidate will describe the content of the thesis, supported by computer aids thus proving to have acquired knowledge, synthesis and relationship skills.

The criteria for the evaluation of the thesis concern the degree of pedagogical/educational relevance of the subject, the degree of topics depth, its novelty, the possibility of its concrete application in social and health-educational fields.

The final examination is successfully passed after suitability to the practical test.

The final mark is expressed as /110 with possible.
