The final exam is written and consists of two parts: the first one is aimed at assessing the student's knowledge of the basic English grammar rules through 40 questions, including gap-filling exercises, sentence transformation, error correction, use of the right tense. In the second part 18 multiple choice questions will test the student's proper use of the vocabulary related to dentistry acquired during the course.
The student will have to obtain "Pass".
Due to the current health emergency modalities and procedure for the final exam may change.

The course is aimed at reinforcing students’ knowledge of the basic English grammar rules and building up their technical vocabulary in order to read and translate scientific texts related to dentistry.

Revision of the basic structures of English Grammar.
Knowledge of the most common words related to the dentist’s job and dental disciplines.
Grammar: Simple Present-Present Continuous- Simple Past- Present Perfect – Present Perfect Continuous- Future- Active/Passive form- The article- Relative Clauses- Modal Verbs- Countable and uncountable nouns-
Vocabulary: Dentistry: disciplines and people concerned –the dental office and its equipment- the human tooth- permanent dentition- dental prostheses and orthodontic appliances.
