No specific prerequisites
Only the final exam is foreseen which verifies the acquisition of the knowledge and skills foreseen through questions on the theoretical part and a practical test on the computer in which students will have to perform exercises similar to those carried out during the course exercises.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The course introduces the use of computers.
EXPECTED LEARNING RESULTS
At the end of the course the student must be able to:
1. communicate and inform using IT tools
2. Manage files
3. Use simple editing tools
4. Process texts
5. Creation of presentations
6. Creation of spreadsheets
Fundamental concepts regarding Information Technology, the
structure and operation of a personal computer, computer networks, the impact on society and everyday life.
Computer use and file management, the main basic functions of a personal computer and its operating system, the use of simple editing tools and printing options.
Word processing: the creation and formatting of a document, the creation of tables, the insertion of images in a document.
Presentation tools: creating presentations for different types of audiences and situations.
Creation of spreadsheets, use of the main functions, creation of graphs.
Lecture notes and software documentation (available on the e-learning website).
Classroom lessons supported by the presentation of slides that will be provided to students (8h) and exercises in the computerized classroom in which students will perform practical tests provided by the teacher regarding the topics seen in class (10h).
