WRITTEN AND ORAL FINAL TESTS: these will be held at the end of the course, during the calls for examinations. The acquisition of the course contents will be verified on the basis of the acquisition of the written and oral skills of the programme.
The written test consists of a written comprehension of short texts, written production and grammar exercises.
The oral test consists of an interview with the teacher in French.

The course aims to bring students up to level A2 of the European Reference Framework, a basic level that enables them to apply the knowledge acquired to interact in everyday life but also and above all to read and understand written texts and conversations of a non-specialist nature (argumentative text, narrative, interviews, etc.).
The expected learning outcomes include:
• knowledge of the basic vocabulary of the French language;
• ability to find and use the appropriate linguistic tools and communicative functions to deepen knowledge of the French language and comprehension of various types of text;
• ability to interact, communicate and describe in a direct and simple way on various topics.

The topics will be dealt with in a progressive order, at the end of each topic there will be room for assimilation through exercises:
- Introduction to the French language: phonetic notions, alphabet, history of the French language, present indicative of the verbs to be and to have, numbers up to 20 (4h);
- Lesson 2. Topics: present indicative of the verbs of the first group, subject pronouns, determinative and indeterminative articles, numbers up to 69. Skills to be acquired: greeting and introducing oneself, expressing likes and dislikes (4 hours);
- Lesson 3. Topics: feminine adjectives, present tense of the verb "aller" and verbs of the second group, negative form, simple interrogative form and the interrogative adjective "Quel", presentative "c'est", numbers up to 100. Skills to be acquired: asking questions, describing a person (4 hours);
- Lesson 4. Topics: interrogative form with interrogative pronouns, plural of nouns and adjectives, present indicative of two-base verbs. Skills to be acquired: asking for directions, giving directions (4 hours);
- Lesson 5. Topics: Present indicative of three-base verbs, pronoun on, gender of country names, prepositions before country names. Skills to be acquired: writing an e-mail, describing a tourist place, talking about the climate (4 hours);
- Lessons 6-7. Topics: the verb "faire", expressing quantity, the imperative affirmative and negative, partitive articles, articulated prepositions. Skills to be acquired: expressing quantity, giving advice, forbidding; (6 hours);
- Lessons 7-8. Topics: particularities of verbs in "er", reflexive verbs in the imperative, demonstrative and possessive adjectives. Skills to be acquired: describing a profession, expressing purpose, expressing possession, telling the time (4 hours);
- Lessons 8-9. Topics: "passé récent", "passé composé", past participle, pronouns "y" and "en". Skills to be acquired: expressing the frequency of an action, narrating a personal experience in the past tense (6 hours);
- Lessons 9-10. Topics: the imperfect, personal pronouns COD and COI, skills to be acquired: talking about one's memories (4 hours);
- Lessons 10-11. Topics: tonic pronouns, main subordinates. Skills to acquire: expressing cause, consequence. (4 hours);
- Lessons 11-12. Topics: future tense, adverbs and relative pronouns. Preparation and advice for exams. Skills to be acquired: planning events (4 hours).

Convenzionale

The educational objectives of the course will be achieved by means of frontal lessons (for a total of 48 hours) held by the teacher following an active and progressive approach. The course is based on listening, reading, analysis during the lessons of selected documents, and individual or group exercises, aided by multimedia tools. The understanding of the documents will be supported through the use of online monolingual dictionaries: Trésor de la langue française informatisé (TLFI) and Larousse.
