it is necessary to have completed the human physiology examination
For the modules of Medical Pathophysiology, Respiratory Pathophysiology and Cardiovascular Pathophysiology, the exam is written and consists of: 60 multiple-choice quizzes on all the topics listed in the program. As for the evaluation of the quizzes, the following rule is applied: 0.5 point for each correct answer; 0 points for wrong or wrong answers. The test is graded out of thirty.
To verify the acquisition of the learning outcomes of the Physiopathology of the respiratory system module, the exam is oral. The student will be asked some questions, both broad and more specific. The questions will be at least three and will be both general, in order to give the student the opportunity to space and manage the answer in the most congenial organization, and specific to deepen the topics.
The objective of the exam is to verify the level of achievement of the previously indicated training objectives, also evaluating:
1. the level of knowledge and depth of the topics addressed
2. above all the ability to connect and compare different aspects dealt with during the lessons.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The purpose of the course is to provide the future graduate with the necessary knowledge for the assistance and approach to the patient suffering from the most common diseases, including cardiovascular and respiratory ones.
For the sports science professional, this knowledge is the basis for identifying the most appropriate motor exercise according to the state of the student.
The course consists of three modules:
- Medical pathophysiology
- Cardiovascular pathophysiology
- Respiratory pathophysiology.
Attendance is compulsory.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
1. discuss the basics of epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology of the most common diseases, including cardiovascular and respiratory ones
2. Report the characterizing elements of the main symptoms and distinctive signs of these pathologies and the clinical pictures associated with them
3. critically assess the severity of these symptoms and signs
4. distinguish communicable and non-communicable respiratory diseases
5. describe the priority clinical pictures, the methods of assessment and monitoring, the risks and complications, the therapeutic and care strategies in the person with respiratory tract infections
6. describe the diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation flows of patients with cardiovascular and respiratory diseases
7. contextualize the meaning of the diagnostic tests
8. interface with the patient suffering from respiratory and cardiovascular diseases
9. Build / design flow charts for the management of patients with different pathologies
10. know the physiological processes of cardiovascular adaptation to the effort that occur in the athlete

Lectures with the help of texts, diagrams, rich illustrative apparatus and practical examples; the student will be guided to understand the different pathological processes. At the request of the students, the teacher can dedicate the first part of each lesson to clarifications and insights into the topics covered in the previous lessons. It is also possible to ask for clarification on specific points during the lesson
