Give students knowledges about the terminology, skills and tools related to the methods used in an hemodynamics lab. Make students conscious of the role and duties of the Cardiac Physiologist both during interventional cardiology procedures and in the follow-up

The role of the TFCPC in the cath lab.
Right and left cardiac catheterization.
Knowledge of the indications, applications, materials and techniques used during PTCS and stenting.
Associated complications:the prevention of renal damage.
Besides PTCA and STENT: the rotational and directional coronary atherectomy systems.
Interventional cadiology in the main valvulopathies. Percutaneous treatment of DIA, POF and ASA. Percutaneous closure of the left auricula.
IABP: indications and contraindications, mechanism of action, physiology and pathophysiology of the right inflation and deflation of the intraortic balloon.
