Monday 10th January sees the opening of exams' winter session for most of the University of Insubria's study courses.

Exam session in person or remotely at lecturers' discretion, according to Covid Protocol's terms in effect since December 30 2021 and published on the university website.

We would like to remind all students of the document's main provisions.

GREEN PASS, DISTANCE AND MASKS

In order to gain access to university facilities, students are required to have a Covid-19 - Green Pass certificate.
Until otherwise stipulated, the green pass is issued under the following conditions:

  • having had the Covid-19 vaccination (first dose or completion of the vaccination cycle);
  • being cured of Covid-19 within the last 6 months;
  • being negative to rapid antigenic or molecular test within the last 48 hours (Green pass base);
  • they must also comply with the rules and regulations for the prevention and containment of Covid-19 infection, i.e. interpersonal distance, hands and personal hygiene, constant use of a mask which must be worn in all university areas, strict hygiene of rooms and surfaces, adequate ventilation in closed environments.

RULES FOR WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAMS IN PRESENCE

  • Written and oral exams will be held in presence, with the obligation to wear a mask.
  • If, when registration closes, the number of students enrolled in the exam exceeds the capacity of the classroom/lab assigned or of the room in which the exam will be held, students will be divided into groups or will be rotated, which may lead to changes in the exam's timetable or date. It is advisable to frequently consult the notice board or the roll call schedule in University Planner (Up).
  • Checks on the possession of Covid-19's green certificate by students going to classrooms will be carried out on a random basis by the concierge staff.

EXEMPTIONS FOR TAKING EXAMS AT A DISTANCE

  • Students who are Covid-19 positive or in quarantine and in possession of appropriate medical certification.
  • Students with special needs, as established by current legislation.
  • Students residing in locations subject to health restrictions or travel limitations due to the Covid-19 pandemic emergency.
  • Incoming Erasmus students, i.e. foreign students visiting our university.
  • Given the pandemic's persistence, outgoing Erasmus students, i.e. Insubria students who go abroad with the Erasmus programme, are also allowed to take exams at a distance as long as the mobility experience is understood to be continuous. FAQ E+ Study.
  • Requests for a waiver to sit exams at a distance must be sent by e-mail to the course secretariat, self-certifying the existence of one of the circumstances mentioned above.
