Marco Lamperti is an experimental physicist, specialized in optics and photonics for the study of quantum states of light and of light-matter interactions.
He was awarded a PhD in Physics in 2017 from University of Insubria, on a research project regarding measurements of photon number statistics applied to investigation of quantum states of light and to fluorescence spectroscopy. He then moved to Politecnico di Milano, first as a postdoc, then as untenured associate professor, where he realized optical frequency comb-assisted laser spectrometers for ultra-accurate vibrational and Raman spectroscopy of molecules in the gas-phase. Since 2022 he is untenured assistant professor at University of Insubria.
