I received my Laurea (MA) in Modern Letters and History, cum laude, from the University of Milano in 1997 and I got my Ph.D. in Economic History at the Department of Economics, University of Pisa in 2003.
From 2003 to 2006 I spent three years as postdoctoral fellow, first at the Department of Economics, University of Bologna and then at the Economic History Unit, Bocconi University.
From 2005 to 2008 I taught Economic History as Adjunct professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca and, from 2006, at the University of Insubria, where I became Lecturer in 2008. Since 2015, I am Associate Professor of Economic History.
From 2015, I am member of the Board of the PhD program Methods and Models for Economic Decisions, in which I am teaching a course on Decision making in economic-historical perspective.
I am the Dep of Economics’ Delegate for International Relations, and as such I am a member of the University Committee for International Affairs as well as the departmental Coordinator for the Erasmus+ Program.
