Not binding prerequisites: basics of mathematics, physics, organic and inorganic chemistry, biology. English reading comprehension.
(Safety module) The course aims to provide students with the skills useful to carry out a risk assessment for workers exposed to chemical, physical and biological hazards; as well as to carry out experimental monitoring and analysis for risk management actions.
General concepts of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. Concepts of danger, exposure, risk and damage (2 hours)
The risks of a chemical / physical / biological nature in work environments (2 hours)
Chemical Risk: classification of risk agents (CLP); risk assessment process;
- TLV and limit values; (6 hours)
- Environmental monitoring: sampling strategies;
- Environmental monitoring: Gas and Vapor; environmental monitoring: powders and aerosols;
Other environmental monitoring systems; (4 hours)
Biological monitoring (2 hours)
Risk assessment with algorithms and models (2 hours)
Environmental and Occupational Hygiene
- REACH, CLP and GHS regulations. Chemical Safety Assessment, Chemical Safety Report, Exposure Scenario, DNEL and DMEL. (6 hours)
Lesson slides will be provided to the students (e-learning environment).
