Learning will be assessed through a written exam (with multiple choice questions) relating to some of the key concepts presented and discussed during the course.
Furthermore, as a complement:
- Attending students: during the lessons, students will be engaged (either as a class or organized into small groups) in developing a communication strategy on a topic assigned at the beginning of the course. Students will be required to present the results of their work during the last lesson.
- Non-attending students: students will be required to complete an individual project- work and submit it to the lecturer via email no later than the date scheduled for the written exam. Guidelines for the development of the project will be provided by the instructor.

The course aims at building the knowledge, skills, and competencies that are needed for the development of a health communication intervention, with a focus on cognitive, behavioral, and social outcomes, based on rigorous theoretical methods and models. In particular, the course emphasizes the importance of a participatory and person-centered approach to health communication interventions, taking into account the key social determinants of health and the interconnectedness of different health and social domains, as well as the importance of active stakeholder engagement, empowerment of the target group(s) and projects sustainability

- Socio-cultural and other influences on health communication

- Communication strategy

- The health communication cycle (planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation)

Convenzionale

In addition to traditional lectures, the course includes practical group exercises and the intervention of external experts

The slides uploaded by the lecturer on the e-Learning platform will be the essential reference.
