1. eligibility for medical examinations at the Occupational Medicine-ASST Sette Laghi-Varese,
2. FAD course Legislative Decree 81/08 (general and specific risks);
3. FAD course: European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR): new rules for the protection of personal data;
4. know and know how to do hand washing: social, antiseptic, pre-operative;
5. know and apply the basic postures;
6. know the professional skills of the dental hygienist related to patient care and assistance;
7. know the principles of primary prevention of oral diseases;
8. know the methods of motivating oral hygiene;
9. know the materials of oral hygiene at home;
10. know and adequately maintain the instruments;
11. know the bureaucratic and access practices of patients in the dentistry department / clinic.
field assessment through checklists and related job evaluation boards, collaboration and motivation for team work, first visit of oral hygiene and motivation and oral hygiene instructions. In order to be considered suitable, the student must have achieved the objectives declared through the assessments with a positive outcome certified and collected during the internship.
At the end of the first year the student must be able to:
1. know the characteristics and the organizational context of each site, distinguishing the role of the different figures that work there;
2. carry out activities related to the oral hygiene of the dental hygienist in relation to the contents learned and the exercises performed;
3. describe and explain the use of specific instruments and medical material present in a dental clinic;
4. to assist the patient, during and after the dental examination using the material and the necessary instruments;
5. assist the patient in the reception phase in the hospital in the reference operative unit;
6. perform the extra and intra-oral examination (inspection-palpation- auscultation) using the appropriate material and instruments.
1. observation of the activity in the clinics as a whole;
2. disinfection of the operating unit and sterilization of the instruments;
3. reception, preparation and discharge of the patient;
4. restoration of consumables;
5. patient appointment management;
6. Professional oral hygiene therapy in patients of developmental age and adults with PSR 0-1-2 and / or risk of caries
practical activity in the field and in laboratory/exercise environments
