Anatomy of periodontal tissues: gingiva, periodontal ligament, root cementum, and alveolar bone. Characteristics of oral biofilm formation, oral microbiology. Epidemiology of periodontal tissue diseases. Etiology and Pathogenesis of periodontal tissue diseases.
