At the end of the course, the student must be able to: - identify the current legislation governing the practice of the physiotherapist profession and the healthcare professions; - outline the concept of healthcare organization and the areas of intervention of rehabilitation healthcare professionals; - define aspects of professional ownership, responsibility, and ethics; - understand the tools for implementing clinical governance, particularly risk management and its impact on daily practice; - describe the departmental model commonly used in healthcare organizations today; - define the concept of delegation versus assignment.
The course is structured starting from the definition of Healthcare Professional, to then place it within the recent regulatory frameworks and the new organizational models in which they will operate. There will be in-depth studies on the topics of Responsibility, Clinical Governance, and Clinical Risk
