1. Clinical Psychology: definition and role in the practice of the Professional Educator.
2. Communication: definition; the communicative process; human communication modalities; effectiveness and communicative competence. 3. The Help Report: definition, stages, skills and competences of the operator.
4. Empathy: definition and characteristics.
5. Counselling (hints): definition; principles; objectives; strategies (crisis counselling; problem solving counselling; decision making counselling; informative counselling; motivational counselling).
6. Theoretical orientations in Clinical Psychology: Psychodynamic Theory and derived constructs; Humanistic Psychology and derived constructs; Cognitivism and derived constructs.
Frontal and interactive lessons.
Frontal lessons are supported by slides to facilitate synthesis and attention. During classroom discussions, students are encouraged to interact with teacher with questions and curiosities.
