The aim of the course is to give basic knowledges and skills to develop a technical activity in the field of prevention and management of the fire risk. The arguments of the course program give a picture of theoretical and practical activities in the field of the management of fire risk, connecting to the topics with the national Rules. Learning outcomes At the end of the course the Engineer will have the basic capacities:  To know the combustibles, the ignition sources, the reactions and the products of combustion;  To evaluate the fire risks (for life, goods and environment);  To know the fire protection systems (active and passive);  To choose and use fire personal protection systems and fire mobile active protection systems;  To refer to technical and legal rules; o To contribute to project, construction and management of fire prevention and protection systems;  To contribute to project and management of emergency plans.
