The examination consists of an oral interview aimed at ascertaining the acquisition and correct understanding of the course content. A question will be formulated on the contents of the syllabus, in respect of which knowledge of the subject, expository ability and the capacity for critical analysis will be assessed. The final grade will take into account the accuracy and quality of the answers, as well as the communicative ability and the ability to adequately motivate statements, analyses and judgements shown during the interview.
Acquisition of the main legal and deontological concepts in the field of information. Ability to discuss a relevant legal case. Ability to relate concrete cases to the main institutions examined.
- The right to information in the Italian Constitution (implicit and explicit limits). - Right to inform, right to be informed. - International overview. - Right to report. - Right of criticism. - Right of satire. - Right to be forgotten. - Right to privacy. - Charters of Ethics (Charter of Treviso, Perugia, Milan, Sport and Media, etc.). - Consolidated Text of 2016. - Order of Journalists. - Disciplinary measures. - Information law and the web. - Profiles of defamation and libel in the press. - Issues related to social networks, blogs, e-mail.
The lectures include a casuistic approach, whereby numerous legal cases on the subject will be examined and discussed in the classroom. Legal and ethical sources are examined using an exegetical method, through common reading and commentary.
