PHYSICS - MODULE B
Module B is devoted to Electromagnetism. The contents of the Course can be summarized as follows:
- Electrostatics
The electrical charge. The electric field. Flow determined by a vector field. Gauss's theorem. Applications of Gauss’s theorem. The electrostatic potential. The electrostatic field in conductors. Capacitance. Capacitors. Capacitors and dielectrics.
- Electrodynamics
The electric current. Conservation of the electric charge. Ohm's laws. The Joule effect. The electromotive force. Kirchhoff's laws. RC circuits.
- Magnetostatics
The magnetic field. Magnetic action on the electric current. The Biot-Savart law. Magnetic induction flux. Ampère's theorem. Applications of Ampère's theorem.
- Electromagnetic induction
Faraday's law. The induced electric field. General law of electromagnetic induction. Lenz's law and conservation of energy. RL circuits. Induced magnetic fields.
Module B (40 hours) is held during the second term. It is based on lectures, in which the theoretical aspects of the course are introduced and explained. During the lessons, the teacher presents the topics by making calculations and supporting all the statements with practical examples. During lessons, the teacher uses the blackboard.
Moreover, 20 hours of exercises are delivered by a tutor in order to help students in the preparation of the exam. The tutor will summarize the main theoretical concepts and, using the blackboard, will solve some problems from the textbook.
