Internship 2 experiences
Assessment of clinical skills through direct observation by the tutor, with a focus on the performance of the required procedures, and through guided discussion of clinical cases observed in the ward and outpatient clinic.
Attendance assessment. Students who fulfill the attendance requirements and achieve the set objectives, as certified by the tutor in the appropriate booklet, will be recognized as eligible.
The objective of Internship 3 is to further develop the skills acquired during Internships 2 and 1.
At the end of this training period, students must be able to outline the different stages of the diagnostic-management process for patients accessing medical facilities, identifying the main critical issues. They must also be able to propose therapeutic hypotheses and assist the tutor in all stages of managing patients admitted to specialist medical areas, including discharge procedures and the necessary administrative requirements.
The internship takes place under the supervision of a tutor, who guides the student in learning the diagnostic, instrumental, therapeutic and administrative procedures performed directly at the patient's bedside.
Specific objectives to be achieved during the internship period have been identified for each specialist discipline.

Know how to perform a general physical examination, develop critical thinking skills regarding laboratory tests, apply appropriate patient interview techniques and establish a proper relationship with patients. Acquire the principles of professional ethics, learn the fundamentals of differential diagnosis, know how to set up medical therapy and understand patient management pathways, including administrative aspects. Participate in operating theatre and outpatient activities and learn about surgical patient management pathways.
The internship takes place under the supervision of a tutor, who guides the student in learning diagnostic, instrumental, therapeutic, and administrative procedures performed directly at the patient's bedside, in diagnostic services, or in the operating room.
