There are no prerequisites, but knowledge of the issues addressed in the Banking Economics and Asset Management courses is strongly recommended.
The exam consists of an oral exam, which will also be assessed in the light of the in-depth activities carried out during the lessons. In the oral exam the student will discuss his/her work project, the results of the group study and some items deriving from course seminars.
The course provides elements of in-depth analysis and updating on the management activities of financial intermediaries, especially of a banking nature, highlighting topical issues of particular relevance on a strategic, organizational and regulatory level. The course is conducted by offering students practical teaching activities, based on case analyses and on in-depth analysis of themes, also through seminars by operators and experts in the sector. At the end of the course the student must be able to know, understand and critically deal with the managerial and operational complexities of financial intermediaries and also with effects on financial management of non financial firms, in an interdisciplinary and applicative logic.
Analysis of profitability and value creation through the reading of financial and non-financial statements. Analysis of the main valuation issues, with particular reference to financial assets. The laboratory will address specific in-depth topics in each academic year, also derived from the research activities in progress in the reference SSD and also based on the presence of managers and experts in the sector.

The course is based on interactive teaching that requires students to work in the classroom, who will be required to actively participate in the lessons and to develop some analysis and in-depth work.
The lecturer meets students weekly except holidays and in august. Students can also send an e-mail and ask for a specific and different date or a distance meeting.
