The course aims to examine the relationship between private law and art, providing an overview of the main legal issues that may be of interest to professionals.

The topics that will be explored during the lectures, also through the intervention of experts, will be the following:
the notion of works of art and the differences between works of art and cultural heritage,
art market operators: artists, gallery owners, auction houses, collectors
authentication and attribution of works of art, sleepers and contractual consequences of false or incorrect attribution
AI and the creation of works of art through machine learning
private and public collections,
art and generational transition
the circulation of works of art and cultural goods nationally and internationally
new technologies and the art market
