In a first phase, the objectives and intervention strategies will be presented through theoretical lectures and case studies. In the second phase, the students will follow the project development phases, present their proposals to the class, produce the content and evaluate how to improve the results.

The workshop intends to provide an overview of the possible applications of new
media to city tourism and devote an in-depth study to the use of augmented reality in the development of new narratives of the territory, construction of cultural heritage and urban regeneration.

Students are expected to acquire skills in the analysis and evaluation of some projects that apply new media in the enhancement of the territory or heritage and the construction of immersive experiences. In addition, the workshop will include a practical activity in small groups to design possible city itineraries and content for augmented reality. Some content will actually be developed thanks to the collaboration with an external company that will support students in acquiring the necessary skills for the enhancement of a content that activates key mechanisms of attention and motivation and for the planning of the augmented reality intervention.

Workshop teaching with individual and group activities. Students should acquire skills in the development of city itineraries through the use of new media and augmented reality and should work in a real urban context. The lab will take place in the classroom and the city. Students will have to realise audiovisual content and design elements in augmented reality
