The course of Moral Philosophy/Ethics has two main objectives: in the first part, the course will focus on the basic issues related to the terms of ethics (good, evil, happiness, virtue, vice, life, death), on the concept of 'person' and 'acknowledgment' and on the relationship between technology and human action; in the second part, the course will present reflections on specific areas of bioethics (beginning of life, end of life, restraint, advance treatment dispositions) linking the principles to moral theories and the role of health care professionals.

First Part :
- On the terms of ethics (good, evil, happiness, virtue, vice, life, death)

- On the concept of Person (the difference between something and someone, the concept of acknowledgment)

- On the relationship between technique and ethics

Second Part

- Bioethics, moral theories and education

- Professional ethics and aims of medicine

- Main bioethical issues: beginning of life, end of life, restraint, advance directives of treatment
