Requirements: 

To access the Traineeship, the student must participate in the Professional Laboratory provided (LP1), so that this integrative activity allows him to acquire specific skills and competences in a protected and simulated situation, thus preparing himself for the situations he will experience in the field. He will also have to take the course on generic and specific risks, as per Legislative Decree 81/2008, and the course on Privacy (GDPR)

At the end of each academic year there is an Traineeship Exam with the Director of Professional Education, assisted by one or more Tutors. The final evaluation, expressed out of thirty, will be obtained on the basis of:
-Personal assessment sheet drawn up by the Tutor / Traineeship Assistant of the places attended: the sheet analyzes and evaluates the skills and abilities acquired.
-A brief report on the activity carried out in the workshops attended.
- An oral interview that aims to present the activity carried out in the workshops attended, in order to evaluate the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired, as well as the expository skills and the appropriateness of the vocabulary used.

The professionalizing traineeship is aimed at refining the learning and training process of the student, creating moments of alternation between study and work. It therefore represents the first experience in a real context for the first year students of the CdL in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques, allowing them to activate the learning process through careful observation in the field and through experience, integrating theoretical knowledge and operational practice. , acquiring knowledge regarding the organization and structure of the laboratory, the type of examinations performed and the management of one's own and colleagues' safety. The traineeship is a compulsory training activity and is carried out in the 2nd semester of the year in laboratories affiliated with the University. The student will be guided to achieve the objectives through the tutoring and coaching activities of the Traineeship Assistants and under the supervision of the Director of Professional Didactics.
At the end of the traineeship the student will be able to:
a) Respect the company regulations and the rules on hygiene and safety at work
b) Identify one's role in the organizational context
c) Know and respect the rules of conduct
d) Describe the organizational reality to which you are assigned
e) Describe the professional figures present in the context
f) Outline the main workflows
g) Explain the type of analyzes that can be performed
h) Manage the procedures for requesting and accepting samples
i) Know and use the basic equipment and tools

The traineeship takes place in public or private health structures. In particular, the activity of the first year includes biochemical and biomedical analyzes carried out in the laboratories of the place of assignment (Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Pathological Anatomy, Immuno-Transfusion) which will lead the student to acquire the basic technical-operational knowledge and skills, such as the use of glassware and disposable material in the laboratory, the preparation and dilution of solutions, the use of pipettes, micropipettes and automatic pipettors, heated magnetic scales and stirrers, the knowledge and correct use of refrigerators, freezers laboratory and centrifuges and the type of main tests performed, as well as the basic hygiene rules to be observed in a laboratory, such as washing hands and cleaning the workbench or surfaces in case of accidental spills and safety regulations , including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Convenzionale

The student is required to attend the traineeship activities in the periods and at the times scheduled by the Director of Professional Education for a total number of hours equal to 450 hours (18 CFU). The student will carry out the activity of the laboratory under the guidance of the Traineeship Tutor / Assistant, in direct collaboration with the staff in charge of the various operational responsibilities. For each phase of work, the Traineeship Tutor / Assistant will identify the activities that the student can initially perform alongside and subsequently independently
