Suitability for teaching computer science applied to bibliographic research
The exam is carried out in oral form.
Will be evaluated:
- the accuracy and completeness of the content of the answers
- the degree of depth of the topic
- ability to argue, synthesize, create interdisciplinary connections, clinical reasoning
- ability to use appropriate terminology
The teaching aims to build knowledge, skills and competences on the methodology of research in the obstetrics, gynecology and neonatal fields, providing students with adequate tools in carrying out research in the clinical field. At the end of the course, the student will be able to: • correctly implement literature search strategies in biomedical databases • critically analyze a research article • recognize the structure of a scientific article and the design of the research • understand the strength of EB by analyzing guidelines, scientific articles, reviews • apply the research phases for the preparation of a thesis
• Objectives and history of obstetric research
• EB, EBM, EBP
• Research for the specific professional of the midwife
• Critical reading of literature
• Stages and macro-activities of the research
• Deductive and inductive method; theoretical structures for research
• Identification of the research problem: problem statement and purpose statement
• Research questions and hypotheses: dependent and independent variables
• Quantitative research and quantitative research designs
• Qualitative research
• Sampling
• Methods and tools for data collection
• Ethical problems in research
• Scientific article
• Literature review
• How to present the data
