The Course aims to consolidate students' knowledge about the connection between the legal phenomenon and the dynamics of Internet. In particular, we will analyze the web governance tools and the related problem of protection of rights on the Net, starting from freedom of communication, with particular regard to the management of information circulating within social networks. Specific attention will also be given to the broad issue of e-democracy and digital citizenship, with a particular focus on new models of political participation that are emerging in our country, and the related prospects for the affirmation of a web democracy.

The course will analyse the following topics:

4. Net neutrality (1 hour)
5. Rights and responsibilities in the Net (2 hours)
6. Internet and democracy (2 hours)
7. New media and pluralism of information on the Net (2 hour)
8. Fake news and hate speech (1 hour)
9. E-administration (6 hours)
10. Online public services (2 hours)
