To access the internship, the student must have attended the theoretical activities and propaedeutic workshops offered during the first and second semesters of the academic year.
The evaluation of the internship is summative and certifying and different elements are involved.
The student is admitted to the internship examination if he/she has attended the professionalizing activities, the laboratories and the internship foreseen for the year of the course and if he/she has reached at least the sufficiency (18/30), calculating the weighted average of the following elements
• three written tests aimed at evaluating the disciplinary knowledge and the ability of professional judgment acquired
• a written paper assessing the student's ability to investigate a clinical topic using valid and relevant sources
• at least one clinical internship evaluation form for each internship experience signed by a pedagogical tutor (tutor dedicated full-time to the CdS) or by an operative unit internship assistant (ATUO) in which the skills acquired in the assistance procedures and the ability to establish a helping relationship with the patient are evaluated.
The internship examination has two appointments, to be scheduled by early October, and consists of an oral test taken with the pedagogical tutors in which the ability to apply the disciplinary method is evaluated.
The final evaluation will be expressed in suitability.
