At the end of the academic year, the Traineeship Exam is scheduled with the Director of Professional Didactics, assisted by one or more Tutors. The final evaluation, expressed out of thirty, will be obtained on the basis of:
-Personal assessment sheet drawn up by the Traineeship tutors / assistants of the places attended: the sheet analyzes and evaluates the skills and abilities acquired.
-A brief report on the activity carried out in the workshops attended.
- An oral interview that aims to show the activity carried out in the laboratories attended, in order to evaluate the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired, as well as the expository skills and the appropriateness of the vocabulary used.

The professional Traineeship represents the fulcrum of the preparation of the future professional of the Degree Courses of the Health Professions and is the privileged modality for the development of professional skills and abilities, clinical-diagnostic reasoning and critical thinking.
The Traineeship is a compulsory training activity and is carried out both in the 1st and 2nd semester of the year in laboratories affiliated with the University. The student will be guided to achieve the objectives through the tutoring and coaching activities of the Traineeship Assistants and under the supervision of the Director of Professional Didactics, completing the path started in previous years.
At the end of the internship the student will be able to:

a) Actively participate in preparatory, diagnostic and research activities
b) Evaluate the analytical reliability of the results and discuss their clinical validity, in collaboration with the managerial staff of the laboratory
c) Describe the functional and structural organization of the Laboratory
d) Describe the Laboratory's Quality Management System and manage non-conformities
e) Join the organization of the Laboratory in compliance with the roles and skills of all the professionals who work there and in close collaboration with them in order to pursue the set objectives

The Traineeship includes the continuation of the training activities of the first two years, deepening the diagnostic techniques and operational processes at the laboratories to which it will be assigned, learning to manage the pre-analytical phase, the analytical phase and the post-analytical phase in the various laboratory sectors. , acquiring specific diagnostic-laboratory-computer skills in Clinical Pathology, Pathological Anatomy, Immunohematology and Transfusion, and in Microbiology. He will be able to carry out the various analytical procedures independently, correctly apply the protocols defined by the Head of the Structure, verify the correspondence with the reference standards of the services provided, check and verify the functioning of the laboratory equipment and be able to provide for their routine maintenance . He will be able to manage the correct storage and disposal of the laboratory reagents and consumables in total safety, observing the legislative standards and good reference practices. Knowledge of and compliance with the ethical and deontological code of the Biomedical Laboratory Health Technician will be fundamental.

Convenzionale

The student is required to attend the Traineeship activities in the periods and at the times scheduled by the Director of Professional Education for a total number of hours equal to 650 hours (26 CFU). The student will carry out the activity of the laboratory under the guidance of the Traineeship Tutor / Assistant, in direct collaboration with the staff in charge of the various operational responsibilities. For each phase of work, the Traineeship Tutor / Assistant will identify the activities that the student can initially perform alongside and subsequently independently
