The aim of the course is for the student to acquire confidence and in-depth knowledge of cardiovascular imaging techniques.
At the end of the course, the student must be able to recognize the anatomical districts of the cardiovascular system, main cardiological, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery pathologies and identify the most suitable imaging technique, understand the images and know how to evaluate the criteria of correctness.

Basic principles (MPR, MIP, MinIP, AIP, 3D VR reconstruction algorithms).
Setting up an ECG-Gated CT / MRI protocol.
CT examinations of cardiological-cardiac surgery interest (Cardio-CT, Cardio-MRI, pre-TAVI Angio-CT, Angio-CT for study of the right atrium and pulmonary veins).
Cardio MRI (examination acquisition protocol, imaging findings, differential diagnostic of the findings).
Outline of pathology of cardiological interest.
Acute aortic syndromes (Epidemiology, pathophysiology, semeiotics).
Peripheral obliterating arterial pathology (Epidemiology, pathophysiology, semeiotics).
Cardiovascular emergencies (bleeding, AAA, AAT).
Principles of interventional radiology (EVAR, Embolization, angioplasty).
