The final exam is an interview in which the learner is asked for all the topics covered. The assessment, in addition to the preparation, will take into account the appropriateness of the language used

Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to implement
basic relational and professional knowledge, to develop adequate behavior to interact with the pediatric patient and use basic skills for an optimal conduct of the radiographic examination, applying the provisions on radiation protection provided for by law. As part of the teaching, they will be informed about the Civil and Criminal professional liability deriving from the activities of the TSRM, declined in the pediatric field

Description of the area of expertise of Pediatrics

The program is developed in 6 lessons of 2 hours each
1- Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care; the premature patient and radiographically detectable pathologies
2- Chest and Abdomen X-ray on pediatric patient; radiographic techniques and criteria of correctness: immobilization systems and exposure parameters
3- Urological system: cystourethrography with urination poses, for bladder reflux study: examination techniques and correctness criteria
4- Pediatric patient CT: radiation protection protocols and techniques
5- Invagination and abdominal volvulus. Radiological treatment techniques and correctness criteria
6- Ultrasound screening of congenital hip dislocation in pediatric patients; other specific investigations for pediatric patients: Dental X-ray+ Skull teleradiography for cephalus metric study, Wrist X-ray for bone age study, Complete teleradiography of column and pelvis + lower limbs in standing position, for scoliosis study and lower limb dysmetria
