RADIOTHERAPY
The prerequisites foreseen in the didactic regulations must be respected
At the end of the course, the exam will be carried out in oral form (2 questions one on Radiotherapy and the other on Interventional Radiology). The student's learning ability, his reasoning capacity, the appropriate use of medical-scientific language will be assessed.
Please remember that the exam of radiotherapy-interventional radiology is part of an integrated course that also includes Radiology (Prof. E. Genovese). The final grade will be determined by the average of the 2 exams that will take placr in the same session
To learn the basic knowledge of radiotherapy and interventional radiology
Radiotherapy (RT): 1. History and devolopment of oncological RT 2. Physical and radiobiological bases. 3. Molecular RT, fractionation and dose. 4. Radio-induced damage and RT integrations. 5. RT planning. 6. Main techniques of RT. 7. Informed consent to RT 8. Indications to RT.
Interventional Radiology (IR): 1. Introduction to IR. 2. Angioplasty and Stent. 3. Embolization. 4. Focal hepatic lesions. 5. Venous IR. 6. Miscellaneous IR. 7. IR and Color Doppler Ultrasound/CEUS. 8. Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology in Covid-19 era.
The 16 hours of lessons will be delivered both face to face and remotely using the Microsoft Teams platform in synchronous mode using slides.
