Level B1 CEFRL
Mid-term: oral presentation in groups or individual on a topic (medical/scientific) chosen by the student. The presesentation has to be based on at least two academic articles and then developed with slides and visuals. Max duration 3 minutes per student.
Final: written exam to test listening and reading skill, use of English and vocabulary
The course aims at encouraging linguistic competence of Scientific English based on the four skills such as reading, listening, speaking, writing, and vocabulary and grammar of B1+ and B2 level. The course offers the opportunity to develop professionally and set the basis to improve students' academic curriculum.
READING: analyze and comprehend complex texts (general, scientific and medical)
LISTENING: comprehend dialogues, short lectures, informative and argumentative texts about medical and scientific topics.
SPEAKING: make short presentations related to science and medecine
GRAMMAR: B2 CEFRL – (revision of B1 grammar), past tenses, future tenses, modals, conditionals, passive, cause and effect linkers
