PHARMACOLOGY
The PHARMACOLOGY course is structured in 12 lessons for a total of 24 hours on the following topics:
-Main routes of drug administration;
- Elements of pharmacokinetics (absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of drugs in healthy subjects and patients);
- Elements of pharmacodynamics (mechanism of action and variability of response to drugs);
- Pharmaco-toxicology topics (interaction between drugs, abuse, tolerance, dependence);
- Clinical pharmacology topics concerning the mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic indications, adverse effects and interactions of anti-inflammatory drugs, local anesthetics, general anesthetics, drugs that act on the blood, chemotherapeutic antibiotics, drugs active on the gastrointestinal system .

Frontal lessons.
Classroom activities include the projection of ppt files set with images and diagrams. During the lesson, examples of drug use and current events regarding the various topics covered will be presented and students will be invited to interact with questions and curiosities.
