Provide the student with the epidemiological, clinical and diagnostic notions necessary to set a correct diagnostic and therapeutic procedure of the surgical pathologies of the digestive system
Stomach and duodenum: pyloric stenosis, gastric and duodenal ulcer disease, stomach cancer, Mallory-Weiss syndrome
Pancreas: acute and chronic pancreatitis, pseudocysts, tumors, trauma
Liver and biliary tract: cholestatic jaundice, gallstones of the biliary tract, infections, primary and metastatic tumors; cysts and benign tumors; portal hypertension and esophageal varices
Colon / rectum; diverticular disease, benign and malignant tumors, ischemic colitis
Anorectal pathology: fissures, hemorrhoids, abscesses, prolapse, trauma, fistulas, benign and malignant tumors
Abdominal wall: hernias
