CHILD NEUROPSYCHIATRY
The course will systematically deal with the anatomical and pathophysiological bases of developmental neurological and psychiatric diseases. Notions related to evolutionary trajectories, aetiology, symptoms and the natural history of different neurological and psychiatric disorders of the developmental age will be provided. The main diagnostic modalities and the different treatments for the following disorders will be discussed:
Neurodevelopmental disorders
Intellectual disability
Autistic spectrum disorders
Communication disorders
Specific learning disorder
ADHD
Motor disorders (DCD, tic and Tourette syndrome)
Cerebral Palsy
Neuromuscular disorders
Epilepsy
Headache

Psycosis in adolescence

Frontal and interactive lessons.
Frontal lessons are supported by slides to facilitate synthesis and attention. During classroom discussions, students are encouraged to interact with teacher with questions and curiosities.
