In-class written tests for statistics (8 multiple-choices questions and 2 exercises) and phyisics (10 multiple-choices questions and 2 exercises). Time: about 60 minutes for each test.
Physics:
The main objective is to acquire the basic principles of Classical Physics and their application for solving simple problems of relevance of the students.
Statistics:
The main aim of the course is to illustrate the basic elements needed to critically read and correctly interpret the results of quantitative medical research.
Descriptive and inferential statistics are framed into the scientific knowledge process. We read the “results” section of a scientific article on a study topic of relevance for the students.
Lectures (physics and statistics) and homeworks (statstics).
