In order to successfully follow the course and pass the exam, it is necessary to already have a knowledge of the Russian language equal to level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (2001). Prerequisites: Russian language I

Learning will be verified through a final exam aimed at evaluating
knowledge and language skills (Reading, Speaking, Writing), according to
the norms developed by the Common European Framework of Reference
for Languages, 2001.
The exam consists of a written test with different activities and an oral
test. It is compulsory to take the written test before the oral exam.
The oral examination is subdivided into the theoretical part of the course
and the part related to the practical lessons.

Starting from theoretical reflections on linguistic phenomena, this course aims to study peculiarities of the Russian language system. The course aims to bring students who already possess basic morphosyntactic language knowledge to a level of linguistic competence comparable to that of A2-B1 (Предпороговый / Waystage- Пороговый / Threshold).

Aspectual variation; meanings of aspectual couples; interaction of the category of appearance with the category of time; verbs of motion; specificities connected to the semantics of the cases; verbs of transitive motion with prefixes; verbs of position; reflexive verbs; the semantic and grammatical properties of the simple proposition; long and short form of adjectives. The first module will carry out an in-depth analysis of one of the most controversial issues in Russian linguistics: verbs of motion. This topic will also be studied in depth, which in addition to having the perfect prefix forms, systematically possess two imperfective forms for each verb. Finally, the study of nominal morphology will be completed, taking into consideration some specificities connected to the semantics of the cases.

The course will be delivered through lectures that will use the projection of Power-Point presentations, which will then be uploaded to the course folder on the ELearning platform. It will be complemented by interactive language lessons held by linguistic experts, aimed at consolidating and expanding communication skills in the four skills. The subject of the practical lessons are: reading, writing and listening exercises; grammar exercises; expansion of the lexicon; practice in oral production (dialogical and monological). The frequency of the exercises is mandatory and is part of the overall time commitment. Students will have to do some self-employment through homework, which will be verified in class. During the practical lessons, sharing of acquired skills has the purpose of training for mutual collaboration and comparison. There are tests to check the skills acquired in itinere. Students will also have access to a wide range of resources for deepening and strengthening material learned in the self-access language laboratory.

The program is divided into two modules. Frequency mode Continuous attendance is strongly recommended. Non-attending students are asked to contact the teacher at the beginning of the academic year for an additional program. Mother tongue students: Only those who have an excellent spoken and written knowledge of standard Russian (литературный язык) will be considered as native Russian speakers. Native speakers will have to study the theoretical part of the course in order to explain the phonetic and morphosyntactic peculiarities of the Russian language system during the exam. During the period of lessons the teacher receives every Wednesday at 13 in the study 2.2. Via Bossi 5, 22100 Como. During periods when lessons are not held, students are invited to contact the teacher to make an appointment.
