To be able to follow this course and to achieve the requested skills, the student should have prior knowledge achieved from previous courses.
At the end of the course, the student is expected to have acquired the following skills:
- to become fully aware of the general principles of the physiology and pathology of human reproduction with particular reference to alterations in the menstrual cycle and fertility
- acquire the basics to guide you in diagnosing the main causes of infertility
- analyse the impact of major endocrine pathologies
-knowing the impact of iodic deficiency on pregnancy and prophylaxis measures
- know the endocrine pathologies of postpartum
General knowledge about the endocrine system, general functions, chemical structure of hormones, types of hormonal action, hormonal receptors, feed-back mechanisms, biological rhythms.
General endocrine pathology
Hyperplastic and autoimmune endocrine diseases
Pituitary regulation system, the main pathologies of the endocrine system,
fundamental elements of pituitary, thyroid, adrenal and phosphobic metabolism.
Thyroid physiopathology in pregnancy, iodic deficiency disorders, thyroid pathologies in pregnancy and postpartum.

During the course, for some specific areas will be dedicated moments of verification in the itinerary with small questions of differential diagnostics.
