There are no prerequisites.
It is advisable to have attended the courses of Institutions of Private Law and Constitutional Law.
Verification of learning will take place through oral exam sessions.
Attending students will be able to participate, at their discretion, in a possible intermediate test,
the outcome of which will be taken into account, exclusively in bonam partem, during the final interview.
The course is divided into two modules. The first, of a general and introductory nature, is aimed at deepening, with an interdisciplinary approach, the issues related to the intervention of the State in the market, as a complex and multidimensional phenomenon, with specific reference to the environment. In particular, the issue of climate change and the relationship between economy and ecosystem will be dealt with. The second, of a special nature, analyzes - also through the analysis of positive law and Italian and EU jurisprudence - some of the tools implemented at European and national level to implement the so-called "Green turn".
I. General part
1. The theoretical reasons for public intervention in environmental matters.
2. Complexity, interdependencies and common goods
3. The limits of recourse to the market
4. The limits of the public hand
II. Second part
1. Environmental protection tools and climate change
2. Environmental protection in the authorization procedures for economic activities
3. Climate and renewable sources: incentive tools and regulatory policies
4. Environmental protection in public contracts: the so-called "Green procurement"
