The exam will consist in a written part (comprehension of a short text, production of a short text, grammar exercises) and an oral part (short dialogue with the professor and a short presentation of a theme of choice, which will be prepared at home) to test the obtained language skills.

The course aims to provide a basic knowledge of the German language (level A1-A2: oral comprehension / oral and written production; level B1: written comprehension). At the end of the course the students will have a basic knowledge of German grammar and will be able to communicate in everyday situations and to understand short simple written texts.
The course will also provide basic notions of the German culture and German-speaking media nowadays.

During the course students will deal with everyday situations following the themes offered by the textbook in order to improve oral and written language skills.
The course will also give insight in the German gramma and culture and written and audio-visual material taken from German media will be provide in order to make students familiar with the German media landscape.

Convenzionale

Frontal lessons accompanied by plenary discussion and exercise. Participation is highly requested.

Students who will not attend class are asked to contact the professor via mail.

Students who already have a German Language Certification (min: level B1) are asked to contact the professor in order to arrange a different syllabus and exam.
