Math:
Mathematics knowledge related to the training path provided in the second grade primary school. The main contents of the course correspond to the basic knowledge required by the secondary school ministerial programs.
Statistics for the medical sciences:
None
In-class written tests, one for each discipline, and in-class computer test for informatics. Each test lasts about 60 minutes.

Math:
Review and acquire the basic knowledge of mathematics necessary to identify the strategies useful to solve simple problems related to the profession and to understand the basic physical and chemical laws related to the study course undertaken.
Statistics for the medical sciences:
The course aims to present some basic concepts students may use in their future profession. In particular, emphasis is given to descriptive statistic tools as well as to the concept of measurement error.
Lessons are followed by home exercises; several examples from relevant literature are presented and discussed in class (for example on operator’s agreement in making a diagnosis based on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance results).
