The main objective is to reach an appropriate knowledge of hematological malignancies and diseases. Students will be asked to know and to discuss on pathogenesis of hematological diseases, how to reach a final diagnosis, which is the clinical phenotype of patients and which are the most used and updated prognostic systems to predict events.
The student will be able to discern among conditions affecting blood cells, discussing diagnoses and prognostication systems. This will allow to known where oncologic medicine is going.

Infectious diseases transmission. Viral hepatitis: HAV, HBV, HCV, HDV, HEV. HIV infection: epidemiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and prevention. Vertically transmitted diseases: CMV, Toxoplasmosis, HSV-1, HSV-2, Rubella. Travel diseases: malaria. Scabies and pediculosis. Tuberculosis. Central nervous system infections: meningitis, encephalitis. Health care associated infections. Occupational exposure risk, prevention rules and post-exposure prophylaxis.
